What was happening?

As they recently went public, Rubicon was looking for a fresh revamp of their website, a re-design that would help them increase sales and improve the overall experience of navigating the vast content within the website. At the same time, they also wanted a visual transformation, something that reflected their modern, green, dynamic nature.

Role and goals

I worked as the lead UX researcher and designer for the project, conducting several workshops with the internal Rubicon team and defining needs, content and structure for the site. Three rounds of workshops were carried out in order to define a successful structural proposal for the site before building out the wireframes. Both traffic data and user insights gathered by the team were used in the re-design. My goal was to restructure the website to respond to the natural user flow and mental model that users had when acquiring these services and for existing users to be able to consult all the relevant information on the website.

How I gave value to the project

I provided a better, more integral experience for potential and existing Rubicon customers, by simplifying the flow and adjusting the final product to the user’s mental model. This outcome improved their sales and conversions from qualified leads, while elevating their visual language to reflect more accurately who they are as a company.

The bottom line

A new, more comprehensive website was created which improved significantly the user experience, translated in an increase of new clients and and improved the way the company presented itself. This new website, reflected the evolution and commitment Rubicon has had throughout the years as a truly green enterprise.
